Happy Dahlias

Using the Delicate Dahlias from the Aug-Sept 2021 Sale-A-Bration Catalog paired with the sentiment from 'Happy Thoughts' stamp set. I used my favorite color combo of Pumpkin Pie/Daffodil Delight/ Old Olive. Perfect for a fall card.

I did use scissors to cut out the leaves and dahlia flower. I added a 'Wink of Stella to the flower petals to make them shine.

Thanks for looking!

Working with some new stamp sets here....here's one from the new Sale-A-Bration catalog (Aug-Sept 2021). I paired it with the sentiment from the 'Punch Party' stamp set - which is from the Jan-Feb 2021 Sale-A-Bration catalog.

I colored in the image with my Stampin' Blends. I tried with my water color pencils, but found it too difficult to work with.

Thanks for stoppin by!

Seasonal Bloom

I just love the 'Bloom and Grow' stamp set! The flowers are huge and can be colored in many different ways to suit your needs. Although the set IS retired... I do keep coming back to it. I wanted a cheerful thank-you card to give to my friend who is so thoughtful. She has given me a few gifts that were 'Just Because' - so sweet!
The color combo used here is Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green and Cinnamon Cider. Perfect for fall. I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the flowers to make them shine.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Set - Bloom and Grow
Ink - Memento, Stampin' Blends (Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, Cinnamon Cider, Granny Apple Green)

Tastefully Elegant

When I saw Jill Harrett's card on Pinterest.... I thought the different colors on this stamp from the 'Elegantly Said' stamp set was gorgeous! Now, she used the 'Baby Wipe' technique. Which is using your re-inkers to place ink on a baby wipe, and then stamping just like you would on a stamp pad. As you probably noticed... I didn't do this for my card. What I did was just added color to the stamp with my Stampin' Write markers. Take note that if you choose to do this, start with the lighter color first. In this case.... Crushed Curry. Next was Bermuda Bay.... followed by Blackberry Bliss. Then I just stamped the image on the cardstock and repeated the steps. So, it's up to you which you choose to do.

Thanks for taking a closer look! Thanks Jill for your inspiration!

Ink - Blackberry Bliss, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry

Said Succulents

Creating this card took a bit of time, as it was hard to choose paper colors to match the copper and silver within this DSP from 'Simply Elegant' Specialty Designer Series Paper. But, in the end, I persevered and came up with Smoky Slate and Cinnamon Cider to pair with this paper.

I used the 'Potted Succulents' dies for the label, and the words are from the 'Elegantly Said' stamp set.
I used a stylus around the edge of the die-cut shape to make the label 'pop'.

Thanks for taking a look.

Ink - Memento
Paper - Cinnamon Cider, Smoky Slate, Simply Elegant Specialty DSP
Accessories - Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine, Potted Succulents dies, glue dots, Stampin' Trimmer, Whisper White Organdy Ribbon, Silver Metallic Ribbon

Coastal Tropics

We went to a Labor Day/Luau Party over our cousin's home in California. What better way to say 'Thanks" than with the 'Tropical Chic' stamp set and coordinating Tropical dies. And... to add to the tropical theme.... I used the 'Coastal Weave' embossing folder.

As a note, the 'Coastal Weave' embossing folder's embossing goes horizontal. In order for me to make it a vertical piece, I cut Basic White cardstock in half. Then embossed each piece, then adhered it to the Mango Melon mat. The sentiment piece hides the cut edge from showing.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp set - Tropical Chic
Ink - Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Mango Melon
Paper - Granny Apple Green, Mango Melon, Old Olive, Basic White
Accessories - scissors, Paper Trimmer, Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine, Coastal Weave embossing folder, Tropical dies, glue dots

Elegant Dahlias

Playing with one of my newest stamp sets - Delicate Dahlias. This can be purchased for free during the August to September 2021 Sale-A-Bration promotion. All that's needed to get this set of free is to make a $50 Stampin' Up! purchase. Can't go wrong with free!

I used one of the stamps for the background detail all around the edges. I used a different stamp for the flower on the focal piece. The sentiment is from the 'Elegantly Said' stamp set... as I wanted it to be a birthday card.

Thanks for dropping in!

Supplies Used:

Stamp Sets - Delicate Dahlias, Elegantly Said

Ink - Cherry Cobbler, Memento

Elegant Succulents

I've wanted to try this layout for a while now, with the focal piece being in the upper-right hand side of the card. I chose the 'Simply Succulents'  stamp set, but chose to use the 'Springtime Joy' basket stamp instead of the pot that went with the succulents set.

I paired it with the 'Painted Autumn' DSP. I added a 'Wink of Stella' to make the petals on the succulents sparkle.

Emoji Smile

My cousin just graduated from Dental Hygienist School and is now working in her career field! Congratulations Kim!  I'm so proud of the accomplishments she's done to get to where she is today!

I created this card using the My Memories Suite digital software. The Emoji is from free clip art found online. The "sparkle" for the teeth is an embellishment from 'Holiday Hustle' by flergs. The star shower is a Stamp Brush set from 'Hello December Project Life' by SU, and the sentiment is from 'Go Graduate Plus' from SU.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Peaceful Palette

I saw Amanda Bates' card on Pinterest, so I sought to make one of my own. Thanks Amanda for your inspiration! I used the DSP from 'Magnolia Lane'.

I used the stamp set 'Petal Palette' and it's coordinating 'Petals & More' dies. Although, I did have to fussy cut the smaller portion of roses, as there was no die for that. I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the petals to make them shine.

Layered Blooms

I totally fell in love with JanBCards' layout and card, so I had to create one of my own! I changed a few things on my card, but JanBCards had the inspiration! Thanks!

The background is the 'Layered Leaves' embossing folder. I matted the sentiment piece to make it stand out a bit from the background. I colored in the images using Stampin' Blends (Granny Apple Green, Blackberry Bliss, Seaside Spray and Poppy Parade). I added a touch of 'Wink of Stella' to the berries and flower petals to make them shine.

Roller Coaster Birthday

My nephew-in-law loves roller coasters. Unfortunately, I do not have a roller coaster stamp set that I could use for a card. He and his wife (my niece) are expecting their first child in December, and I felt that the roller coaster analogy of life was pretty apt for his (and their situation). I found this cute, small graphic online.

I downloaded it so that I could use it with digital software - My Memories Suite. I added the text, suing the font 'Honey Script'.

After printing it on Basic White Cardstock and trimming it with my paper trimmer, I finished it the traditional way.

Thanks for dropping by!

Embellishment - Roller Coaster Scene (found online)
Font - Honey Script (black)

The stamped leaf, from the 'Timeless Tropical' stamp set, is colored in using Stampin' Blends - Granny Apple Green. The petals of the flowers have 'Wink of Stella' over them to make them shine.

Whiskey Tidings

My brother-in-law loves a good scotch, so when Stampin' Up! introduced the new stamp set 'Whiskey Business', I knew I had to get this set. Now, my Dad does love his whiskey too, but as his birthday and my brother-in-law's birthday are so close.... I didn't want to create two cards with the same theme. So... I'll design a different card for my Dad this year, and use the Whiskey Business set for him next year!

Now, I did utilize Pinterest in trying to find the perfect color combo in coloring in the images. I chose Bronze, Cinnamon Cider, Gray Granite and Mango Melody.... along with the color lifter on the ice cubes.

The Stitched Nested Labels die is cut at one end, and I used the straight edge dies cut within that set to die cut the straight edge.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Whiskey Business
Ink - Memento, Stampin' Blends (Cinnamon Cider, Gray Granite, Mango Melody, Color Lifter)
Paper - Cinnamon Cider, Basic Black, Basic White, Plaid Tidings DSP

Sudoku Birthday

My Dad's birthday is today! While trying to create a birthday card for him.... I gravitate to the tools stamp sets, as my Dad is really handy around the house. After creating one of those cards, I realized that I'd like to create a card that he can actually use/do. He loves the Sudoku puzzles.... and the harder the better. So, I downloaded an "Impossible" puzzle online and printed it out on Basic White cardstock.

I hope he will enjoy working this puzzle on his birthday!
