Gorgeous Harvest

My sister-in-law is loving the sunflowers now. Although sunflowers are usually a fall flower, I decided to try to create a cute spring sunflower for her birthday card.

Using the stamp set 'Painted Harvest', the petal colors here are Grapefruit Grove and So Saffron. The middle of the sunflower is Crumb Cake and the leaves are Pear Pizzazz.

I paired this stamp set with the 'Happy Birthday Gorgeous' stamp set for the sentiment.

Thanks for dropping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Painted Harvest, Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Ink - So Saffron, Grapefruit Grove, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake
Paper - Peekaboo Peach, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White

Vibrant Wishes

I knew I wanted to try the color combo of Purple/Gray/ Green on a card.  I chose the colors Highland Heather which is a lighter shade of purple, Mint Macaron which is a subtle green (almost a blue)... and Smoky Slate which is a light shade too. I paired it with some neutral colors of White and Black.

For the vase, I added a Wink of Stella to the whole vase to make it shine. (Although... I know you can't tell from the photo). The stamp to fill in the flowers didn't cover the whole flower, so I was able to use a lighter shade of Highland Heather (Stampin' Blends) to fill it in. Makes for a more variegated flower color.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Paper - Highland Heather, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Whisper White

Tropical Beach

I so love the 'Beach Happy' stamp set. It can be arranged so many different ways to create different looks -- thus creating different cards each time!

I decided to pair this stamp set with the Tropical Thinlits. The thinlits created a wonderful tropical background for this stamp set!

Thanks for stopping by!

Ink - Flirty Flamingo, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
Paper - Flirty Flamingo, Crumb Cake, Whisper White

Tide Pals

I used several different stamp sets to achieve this card. 'Postcard Pals' is, of course, the main stamp set with the pelican and the top sentiment.  The other sentiment is from 'Rooted In Nature'. Finally, I used one of the stamps within 'High Tide' to create the sand that the pelican is sitting on.

I used the colors Daffodil Delight, Soft Sea Foam, Smoky Slate, Pool Party and Crumb Cake to color in the image.

Thanks for dropping by!

Supplies Used
Stamp Sets - Postcard Pals, High Tide, Rooted In Nature
Ink - Memento, Crumb Cake, Stampin' Blends (Daffodil Delight, Soft Sea Foam, Smoky Slate, Pool Party)
Paper - Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Tranquil Textures DSP
Accessories - Big Shot, Layering Squares Framelits, Whisper White Organdy Ribbon

Artisan Wings

I needed several 'Thank You' cards, so I chose the same card, but with differing colors on each!

Each card has a stamped background from the 'Artisan Textures' stamp set. The Butterflies and the sentiment is from the 'Watercolor Wings' stamp set.

I used the Stamparatus to stamp each butterfly in these combo colors - Balmy Blue/Night of Navy, Highland Heather/Blackberry Bliss, Grapefruit Grove/Soft Suede, Smoky Slate/Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight/Mango Melon

I chose to change the gray one up a bit more by using a Smoky Slate background instead of white cardstock too!

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Stamp Sets - Artisan Textures, Watercolor Wings
Ink - Memento, Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Highland Heather, Blackberry Bliss, Grapefruit Grove, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melon

Emily's Bridal Shower

My Godson, Tyler, and his fiance, Emily, will be tying the knot in May. Emily's bridal shower was a lovely event. I had the opportunity to help create some of the party favor tags and the bridal corsage.

I created the inside of flower on my digital software. It's just a frame (SU), a hearts embellishment and text. I printed it out on Whisper White cardstock and trimmed with scissors. I had a hard time finding ribbon that said 'Bride to Be'. I found that I could create my own using the P-Touch Label maker. The cartridges are filled with ribbon instead of tape, and they come in different colors for the font for each cartridge! Cool! Also, within the P-Touch Label maker there are several designs that can be used... I chose the hearts and lines for the top and bottom of the text.

The center ribbon is just a white ribbon that I embellished with gem hearts down the center. The rosette behind the center frame is just a flat flower that I found at Joann Fabrics.

I adhered a clasp in the back for easy on/off for Emily.

The tags for the party favors were too cute! My friend found the idea on Pinterest, and wanted me to create the tags for them. Again, using my digital software, I created tags on Whisper White paper, trimmed them, and punched a hole in the top for the string.
I also created the tags for the treats that were given out. Again, found on Pinterest... and I created them with my software. This time I had a die-cut shape that I used with my Big Shot to cut them all out.

Finally, we needed a tag for the 'Date Night' jar! I'm loving how everything matches and goes with each other. It was an honor to be asked to create such cute things for the shower.

Thanks for stopping by!

Bermuda Moments

With two wedding showers, two weddings and a baby shower to attend this year, the 'Wonderful Moments' stamp set is perfect for these events. Now... to create two wedding shower cards that are unique enough that they don't look exactly alike was a challenge for me.

I chose to go with the brides colors for this card. I used Wink of Stella on the brides dress to make it sparkle, and colored in the rest of the image with Stampin' Blends (Ivory, Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Pool, Party).

Thanks for taking a closer look.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Wonderful Moments
Ink - Bermuda Bay, Stampin' Blends (Ivory, Soft Suede, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay)
Paper - Bermuda Bay, Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Accessories - Big Shot, Banners Framelits, Bermuda Bay Taffeta Ribbon, Wink of Stella

Turtle Get Well

Our nephew had to undergo out-patient surgery to lengthen his Achilles Tendon in both of his legs. Poor guy will be in casts until they heal.

I thought this saying was perfect for him... as with the turtle on his back.

Praying that his surgery and healing goes quickly and without complications.

I used my digital software to create the turtle, shadow and the sentiment. Finishing the project the traditional way.

Thanks for taking a look!

Textured Tide

My Uncle is in the hospital with a lung and skin infection. He will be coming home this weekend, but will need to have oxygen for 2 to 3 months while his lungs heal back to normal.

The 'High Tide' stamp set has some beautiful sayings for encouragement. It was perfect for my Uncle.

Praying that he heals quickly and without any more hiccups along the way.

Ink - So Saffron, Old Olive, Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake

With Sympathy

I created another variation of my sympathy card.  Just changed the ribbon and the black cardstock to gray cardstock. I think it looks more heavenly than the other one.

You may look at the other card here:

Welcome Baby

My new niece is HERE!!!!!!! She arrived on 3/24/2019 at 9:44am. Eleanor weighed 7 lbs and is 18 inches long. The proud parents (my brother and sister-in-law) are bringing her home from the hospital today.

This card that I made for them was printed in my digital software... well, the cloud and the strings were.  The rest was done traditionally.

Thanks for dropping by!

Supplies Used:
My Memories Suite digital software
Embellishments - Rain (cloud); Staples and Stitches (Stampin' Up!)
Paper - Whisper White, Soft Suede, Twinkle Twinkle DSP
Accessories - Big Shot, Beautiful Wings Embosslits (butterflies), Apron Builder Framelits (heart, flowers), Metallic Enamel Shapes

Tropical Banners

I fell in love with the colors on Korstan Del Rosario's card (right)... so I just had to create one of my own. My Uncle and his daughter (my cousin) are planning on going to Hawaii, so I thought a tropical birthday card was in order!  AND... I wanted it to be a bit masculine, so the blue/green combo was perfect! Thanks Korstan!

I paired the 'Tropical Chic' stamp set with the 'Birthday Banners' sentiment. The 'Bunch of Banners' Framelits coordinate with the set.

Thanks for dropping by! Aloha and Mahalo!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Tropical Chic, Birthday Banners
Ink - Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Balmy Blue
Paper - Mossy Meadow, Balmy Blue, Whisper White
Accessories - Big Shot, Tropical Thinlits, Bunch of Banners Framelits, dimensionals, glue dots

Wonderful Lily

I know blue is an unusual color for a lily, but I felt it was more my sister-in-law's color than yellow or orange.

When I chose the background DSP, I was only looking for color when I chose it. Now that I see it all together... that DSP is perfect. Kinda looks like a tranquil lake behind the flower (and it kinda looks painted on!) .  The DSP is from the 'Tranquil Textures' DSP.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Lasting Lily, Wonderful Moments
Ink - Memento, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue
Paper - Whisper White, Basic Black, Tranquil Textures DSP
Accessories - Big Shot, Layering Ovals Framelits, Black Thick Twine, dimensionals

Varied Flowers

The 'Varied Vases' stamp set comes with so many vases and flowers.... I can see that there would be many flower/vase combinations to create with this set.  This is my first creation using this set, so I'm sure to create more with it in the future.

This stamp set coordinates with the 'Vases Builder' punch. I prefer die-cuts to punches, as I seem to use more paper with all those vases/flowers in one punch.

Thanks for dropping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp set - Varied Vases
Ink - Highland Heather, Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Memento
Paper - Highland Heather, Whisper White, Basic Black
Accessories - Vases Builder Punch, Dimensionals, scissors

Shower Greetings

My Sister-in-law needed a card for our niece's bridal shower, so she asked me to create one for her with a gift card holder inside.

She wanted me to utilize my digital software as opposed to using my stamps. So, using My Memories Suite, I chose the fonts (At Last Greeting, Century and Bliss) and for the flower cluster I used the 'I Do' flower cluster from 'Over The Fence' design. (OvThFnc)

For the inside gift card holder. I took a piece of white cardstock (4x4). I scored it at .75, 2 and 3.25. Once folded, I cut an oval the size of a standard gift card. Attaching it to the inside of the card... I then cut a piece of 4 x 5.25 cardstock and layered that on the bottom end.

Thanks for dropping by!

My Memories Suite
Embellishments - I Do - flower cluster (OvThFnc)
Font - At Last Greeting, Century, Bliss (black)
Paper - Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Merry Merlot

Fresh Moments

I saw this stamp set (Wonderful Moments) on Pinterest with this stamp on colored cardstock. I loved that look, as I think it draws the attention to the bride stamp. So, I wanted to create one of my own using Fresh Fig cardstock for the background.

Now... I felt that the background needed a texture to make the bride image to 'pop', so I chose the Layered Leaves DTIEF.

I colored the image with Stampin' Blends (Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette, Ivory, and Soft Suede), as well as, A Wink of Stella. Wink of Stella was used only on the white dress to make it sparkle (I know you can't really see it in the photo).

Thanks for dropping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Wonderful Moments
Ink - Fresh Fig, Stampin' Blends (Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette, Ivory, Soft Suede)
Paper - Whisper White, Fresh Fig

Tea Wedding Shower

I had the honor of creating the wedding shower invites for my niece, Tori and her soon-to-be husband, Aaron. They will be getting married this May. The theme of the shower is "High Tea", as Tori is a huge tea drinker. I found a similar design on Etsy from Cassie Sidsworth. Thanks so much for your inspiration Cassie!

I decided to create my own using my digital software, My Memories Suite. I printed the image on paper that I got from Hollo's (a discount paper/party place). I wanted the look of an actual tea bag for these invitations.

Also, along with the invites, I created the recipe card and note attached for the invitees to fill out an bring to the wedding shower.

These were also created in my software and printed on Whisper White cardstock.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Chic Blooms

When I saw Connie Collins' card (right), I loved everything about it! So.... I created a card for my own -- tweaking a few details (as you can see from my card on the left). Thanks Connie for your inspiration!

I used Pineapple Punch rather than Daffodil Delight with Gray, so my coloring looks softer.

Thanks for taking a look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Birthday Blooms, Tropical Chic, Wonderful Moments
Ink - Smoky Slate, Memento, Stampin' Blends (Pineapple Punch, Smoky Slate)
Paper - Basic Gray, Whisper White

Baby Shower Tags

My sister-in-law showed me a tag that she found on Pinterest, and wanted to know if I could replicate it for her baby shower favors. The tag above is what I was able to create with my digital software (My Memories Suite).

The two fonts used here are - Good Vibrations and Lemon Chicken. The cute little baby feet is an embellishment from My Memories - Tiny Toes. I was able to get 4 tags on one piece of 8.5x 11 piece of Whisper White cardstock. Once printed, I used my Big Shot and heart dies to cut each tag out.  The outer heart is die-cut with Powdered Pink cardstock (again, I was able to get 4 die-cuts out of an 8.5x11 piece of cardstock)

I purchased some nesting stitched heart frames online from Amazon (a seller by Eswala).

I purchased the Pink Tulle fabric from Joann Fabric and Craft Store. I cut a 5x5 square and a 1x12 rectangle for each tag. I placed a hole punch (1/8 size) near the top center of the die-cut hearts. Using the 5x5 square of tulle, I folded the tulle accordion-style and then used the 1x12 piece to tie it in the center. Once that was done, I could thread it through the hole that I made in the tag and tie it in a knot.

The strings attached were used to tie to wine bottles for the party favors!
I had to create 75 tags.... here is a photo of what 50 look like!

Thanks for taking a closer look!

My Memories Suite
Fonts - Good Vibrations and Lemon Chicken
Embellishment - Tiny Toes (My Memories)
Paper - Whisper White, Powder Pink
