I really like how Melissa Davies laid out the sentiment piece along with the hippo, so I decided to create one of my own. I loved the flowers on the background piece, so I kept that too...just changed the color. Thanks so much for your inspiration Melissa!

Cottage Camellia

 

The 'Calming Camellia' stamp set is perfect for making great backgrounds. I used the floral bunch 4 times on my background stamping in the same ink as the cardstock.

The die-cut flowers are from the 'Cottage Flowers' die set.

The sentiment from the 'Calming Camellia' stamp set is die-cut using the 'Potted Succulents' dies (I further enhanced the sentiment piece by scoring around the edges with a stylus within the die.

Brunch Invite

 

My neighbor wanted to hold a brunch at her house and was looking for invitations for the occasion. She was unable to find anything within stores that she went into. I told her that I would be more than happy to create an invitation for her.

This is what I came up with, using My Memories Suite digital software. After printing it on Basic White cardstock, I attached it to a piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock.

Going Tropical

 

I really love how Sue Vine created her background. Its a great backdrop for the flowers and stems and creates dimension. Thanks so much for your inspiration Sue!

To create the background, I stamped the leaves in Versamark... then heat embossed with White Emboss Powder. Once that was done, I used a sponge dauber to gently add Crumb Cake ink to the background around the leaves. I added some sprays of dots using the stamp within the 'Beautifully Happy' stamp set.

The flowers are a blend of two colors - Mango Melody and Polished Pink. After inking the stamp in Mango Melody, I used a sponge dauber to ink just the edges of the stamp to get a blend of colors. I added a Wink of Stella' to each flower to make them shine. The last picture shows a bit of what the flowers look like (although, it looks so much better in person).

I just adore this 'Love Cats' stamp set! So many of my family members love cats... as well as own black cats that this stamp set was a must! AND... since there were cute Valentines sayings was an absolute plus!

I paired this stamp set with the 'Daffodil Afternoon DSP (Designer Series Paper). Those little hearts were perfect for the hanging cat. Plus, the mother of the child that I'm giving this card to loves green!

With the 'Wild & Sweet' stamp set... I just knew I had to have it! I love raccoons, my best friend loves koalas and my aunt loves pandas! What a combo in this set! I fell in love with it immediately.

Since each stamp has that one image on it, I looked to Pinterest to dress my card up a bit, and I found Chris' card here! 

The striped DSP (Designer Series Paper) is called 'Petal Passion'.

I added a sprig of leaves on my card (similar to what Chris did, but only because I smudged the stamped image of the Panda and needed to cover that space. Clever, I know!
