Autumn Phrase

Although, death is a part of life... it's never easy when the loved one is so young. This card is for my God-daughters who lost their biological father. May they both rest in the comfort in knowing that he is now in God's loving hands.

Morning Petal

The 'Good Morning Magnolia' stamp set and it's coordinating 'Magnolia Memory' dies by Stampin' Up! make it so easy to create lovely cards when you pair them with the coordinating 'Magnolia Lane' Designer Series Paper (DSP).

I stamped the sentiment with versamark and heat embossed white emboss powder onto Early Espresso cardstock.

I stamped the flower image on white cardstock and colored them in using Stampin' Blends (Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink and Bronze).

See, so easy!
Thanks for dropping by!

Stamp set - Good Morning Magnolia
Ink - Early Espresso, Stampin' Blends (Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow and Bronze), Versamark

Smooth Seaside

I created a cute seascape using the stamp set 'Seaside Notions' along with the 'Sailing Home' dies. They are not a true coordinating pair, but both have the 'SEA' theme.

As you can see, I used the rope die to create a border for my sentiment.

I colored the image using Stampin' Blends (Crumb Cake). The seaweed is one die, but with 2 different colored papers (Pear Pizzazz and Soft Sea Foam). I used scissors to cut out the seahorse.

Seaside Root

When I saw Christy Velasquez' card (right), I just loved the colors and the simplicity of it -- I had to make one for myself (well, for my Uncle).

I tend to go dark (rather than light) when I do sponging... and this card reflects my heavy inking on the sponge daubers. I think it turned out very well. Now, on Christy's card, she added a sprinkle of white... I chose not to do this on my card.

Thanks for dropping by!

Stamp Sets - Rooted In Nature, Seaside Notions
Ink - Rich Razzleberry, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Memento

Sweet Home

My brother and sister-in-law recently moved into a new home. May they make many memorable memories in their new home.

The house image is from a larger label. I just cropped the house out of it as that was all I wanted for my project. The heart is a punch just manipulated to go inside the heart shape within the house.

Grow Gorgeous

Trying out the new 'Bloom & Grow' stamp set with it's coordinating 'Budding Blooms' dies from Stampin' Up!. I wanted to create a fall-ish card, so I used Stampin' Blends markers in fall hues to color in my image.

Even though the die shape is supposed to cut this whole flower spray... I was able to only cut the bottom half, by carefully feeding the paper and die through my die-cut/emboss machine (I stopped halfway, so it wouldn't cut all the way through). There was a few tiny areas where I had to use scissors to cut. Looks beautiful along the 'Wood Textures' designer series paper (DSP).

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Bloom & Grow, Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Ink - Early Espresso, Stampin' Blends (Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody
Paper - Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Wood Textures
Accessories - Die-Cut/Emboss Machine, Budding Blooms Dies, scissors, Linen Thread

Seaside To Be

For our anniversary, I wanted to try my hand with mirror images using the Stamparatus.

For this, you need to stamp the image on the plastic plate on the stamparatus first, then press the plate to your paper. Next, stamp a second image next to that one directly on the paper next to it. You can tell which seahorse is the image stamped from the plate instead of directly from the stamp (the one on the right is slightly lighter in shade).

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Seaside Notions, Meant to Be, Well Said
Ink - Early Espresso, Real Red, Stampin' Blends (Crumb Cake)
Paper - Early Espresso, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories - Die-Cut/Emboss Machine, Smooth Sailing dies, dimensionals, Stamparatus, Real Red Solid Ribbon

Better Golf

My neighbor golfs almost every week. I do not have an "golf" related stamps, so I looked on pinterest and found several cards that create a punch art golf scene. Perfect! Thanks for the inspiration Pinterest (and those that created this scene...which were many).

I used the Circles Collection dies to create the putting green patch. I used the two-step Owl Punch to create the hole for the green and the golf ball. The pole and the pennant were cut out using my trimmer.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp set - Better Together
Ink - Memento
Paper - Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White, Old Olive, Nature's Poem

Seaside Band

Got the new 'Band Together' stamp set and it's coordinating 'Detailed Bands' from Stampin' Up!. So wanted to play around with them.

I used two different die-cuts on top of each other to achieve the layered detail you see here.

Such an easy card to make, yet so elegant looking.

Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Band Together
Ink - Seaside Spray
Paper - Seaside Spray, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories - Die-cut/Emboss Machine, Detailed Bands dies

Sailing Tide

I saw a similar layout in a monochromatic theme (blue) on Pinterest, but wanted mine to reflect natural colors.

I used a scrap of paper to create a negative space circle shape, so I could mask the area I didn't want to color. The only colors utilized for the background are Coastal Cabana and So Saffron using a sponge dauber to control the shades lighter or darker in areas.

The boat was colored in using Stampin' Blends (Soft Suede and Ivory)

Thanks for taking a peek!

My neighbor wanted cards made for her family with sunflowers on the front... along with the "You Are My Sunshine" lyrics on the inside of the card.
I designed this card using 'My Memories Suite' digital software, and printed it on Whisper White cardstock. Then matting them in Crushed Curry and adhering that to an Early Espresso card base.

Amazing Nature

I found Nadine Weiner's card on Pinterest, and I just loved the layout with the leaves. I, of course, used a different sentiment for my card, but kept the general layout the same. Thanks Nadine for your inspiration!
As you can see, I inked up my stamps more than she did... making my leaves stand out more too.

Kitty Moments

My oldest niece is turning 30 years old!!!! Wow! Such a beautiful young lady. She loves her kitty, so I thought this stamp would be perfect for her.

Morning Healing

I'm loving the new 'Good Morning Magnolia' stamp set with it's coordinating 'Magnolia Memory' dies. Although, it's definitely a more feminine stamp set... it's versatility is great for creating different cards.

With the huge magnolia flower, after die-cutting it, I cut the leaf and stem part with scissors. I used Stampin' Blends markers to color in each flower (Rococo Rose, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight).

Thanks for dropping by!

Wonderful Lattice

The Stamp Set 'Lovely Lattice' has such a lovely spray of flowers -- yet, doesn't provide a lot of versatility (as it has the scalloped weaved background behind. In trying to showcase this stamp in a new and unique way, I decided to cut the spray of flowers out.

I colored the image with Stampin' Blends (Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather and Mint Macaron).

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Gymnast Birthday

My neighbor needed a princess/gymnastics birthday card for her 4 year old granddaughter. As I didn't have any gymnastics stamps or princess stamps included with my digital software (My Memories Suite), I had to look online for some clip art that would be suitable.

I found the little gymnast performing the splits on a free clip art site. I added the princess stamp that was within my brush sets through Stampin' Up!. Then, I added the 4 (text) to her leotard. The stars are a punch shape within my software, and the ribbon is a free My Memories download.

The text sentiment is something I found online... just changed the font to make it my own.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Beach Picture

I've seen several cards showcasing the 'Beach Happy' palm tree stamp with a sun in the background. I loved the simplicity in it, so I tried to create something similar, but with my own flare, as well.

I cut a circle out of a piece of scrap paper and laid it over the Whisper White cardstock. Using sponge daubers, I shaded in the sun with Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie. Then, I removed the scrap piece.

I adhered strips of the 'Tropical Escape' DSP on the sides to create a unique design. Utilizing the 'Beach Happy' stamp set, I stamped the trunks directly onto the white background. With the palm fronds, I stamped them on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut each out using scissors.

Thanks for taking a closer look!
