Calendar 2022

Our 2022 Calendar showcases the things we did in 2021. We didn't do a whole lot...as the pandemic was still making things difficult, but Mike and I found wonderful things to do, places to see and people to visit. 

January - We rented a cabin in Salt Fork State Park (in Lore City, OH) in Feb 2021 for a few days.

February - We enjoyed a boat ride on Hinckley Lake in July 2021 and the flowers were just blooming everywhere.

March - My twin and I celebrated our 50th birthday together in March. Our best friend also celebrated her 50th.

April - More pictures from our boat rental on Hinckley Lake in July 2021

May - Our family rented a cabin in Hocking Hills, OH in July 2021 for a few days.

June - We went to the Frog Jump Festival in Valley City, OH in July 2021.

July - We picked blueberries at Martin's Blueberries Farm in Columbia Station, OH in July 2021.

August - We saw the sunflowers at Lampshear's in Medina, OH in August 2021.

September - We flew to CA to visit with Mike's parents at their retirement home, and spend time with his side of the family.

October - We picked grapes and made Grape Jelly in September 2021 at my Dad's house.

November - We hiked the trails at Plum Creek Park in September 2021.

December - We hiked the trails at Buckeye Woods Park in October 2021.

Grand Bentley Lodge Trip

 

Mike and I took a trip to Hocking Hills, OH with a few family members in July 2021. We rented a Lodge for a few days and spent time horse riding, zip-lining, grilling and just hanging out. This Lodge was not the best we've been to (not enough outdoor space to play... mostly gravel; pool was very cold; Not enough deck space for all family to fit), but we made the best of our stay.

I created this album in My Memories Suite, and kept each page uniform by using the same background and embellishments.

Flowing Paradise

 

I'm all for tropical cards anytime! So, when the January -June 2022 Mini Catalog came out with the 'Paradise Palms' stamp set (and they do have a coordinating die set, but I did not use it here!), I just knew I had to get it for my collection.

I wanted to create a sunset scene that was elegant too... as this card is going to my father-in-law.

I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the sun to make it shine.

Hello Friend

 

Using the new Sale-A-Bration 2022 stamp set 'Friendly Hello' with it's coordinating Designer Series Paper with the same name.  I did use scissors to cut out both the flower and the bird images.  The sentiment is die-cut using the 'Tasteful Labels' dies. I added 'Wink of Stella' to all the flower and the bird to make them shine.

Virtual Gamer

 

My nephew just received a virtual reality set, and he loves it! So, as his birthday is in January... I thought to include a bit of virtual-ness to his card. I found the free clip art online through IMGBIN Community. 

I designed it within My Memories Suite using the 'Honey Script' font, and printed it out on Basic White cardstock,

I added a mat of stone texture for the background.

Champagne Flowers

 

Trying out my new Stamp set 'Flowing Flowers' on this card from the January - June 2022 Mini Catalog.  I colored the stamp first using my Stampin' Write markers, then stamped onto Basic White cardstock.

I added 'Wink of Stella' to the flowers to make them shine. (Sorry you can't see it in the picture here).

Growing Wish

 

Creating a new Thank You card for my neighbor's daughter for her Christmas gift to us this year. What a truly lovely gesture.

I paired the 'Biggest Wish' sentiment stamp set with the 'Bloom & Grow' stamp set. Makes a beautiful card!

Eden's Leaf

 

One of my dear friends has lost her husband recently. I can't imagine her loss. Words cannot express the level of sorrow I'm feeling for my friend right now. May she and her family find comfort in the memories they have with him.

I chose a simple color scheme using the 'Eden's Garden' stamp set and its coordinating 'Eden' dies.

I also used my favorite embossing folder 'Layered Leaves'.
