Blossom Scribbles

I'm loving the new Swirly Scribbles thinlits! I saw a few cards on Pinterest using the scribbles as vines and wanted to try that on my card here.

The background is embossed using the Brick Wall TIEF. I then die-cut the scribbles thinlits on my Big Shot using Pear Pizzazz. Using the new In-Colors (Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum and Peekaboo Peach), I stamped each color on the corresponding cardstock and used the Pansy Punch to cut them out.

I probably should have stamped the sentiment before embossing the background, but it turned out okay stamping it after I embossed it.

I had a bit of fun creating this page. The background is a combination of paper and overlays to create the "dirt" you see on the page. My family took a hike in the Hinckley Reservation Cleveland Metroparks in Ohio back in June 2016...where we got to explore the Whipps Ledges. Beautiful place!

USNAST July Calendar Page

For my July Calendar page for our 2017 Calendar, I decided to use photos from our trip to the Naval Air Station in Tillamook (Oregon). The photo of us is inside the Guppy aircraft. It was great to visit around Memorial Day...and to now use these photos for our July Calendar Page... I can go all out with the Patriotic Theme!

It was great that I had an american flag background to use in my digital papers... I didn't need to add really anything else to finish off this page!

Tillamook Calendar Page

In May 2016, Mike and I took the factory tour of the Tillamook Cheese Factory. We even got samples at the end of the tour! YUM!  We had lunch and dessert there too....featuring grilled cheese, mac n cheese and (of course) Tillamook Ice Cream! YUMMY!!!!!!

Here is a page for our 2017 calendar.  I love how easy this page came together.... the background is blue with the stamp from 'Our Happy' in yellow on top.... yep, the lines and dots are part of the opening of the whole stamp. Perfect stamp for cheese, don't you think?

May Calendar Page

In trying to design our May Calendar page, I wanted to incorporate the rose bush that I planted in memory of my Mom... on Mother's Day last year 2015. So, I took this photo in 2016 when the roses were in bloom. Since the Mother's Day is in May, showcasing the rose bush was a must! I always want to add a photo of Mike and myself on each calendar month page too.... so this is when we went to dinner at Round Table Pizza. LOL...love that place!

The digital flowers that I chose were a different color originally, so I recolored them pink to match my page.

Banner Time

I am in love with the Bunch of Banners Framelits and the few stamp sets that go along with it.  So many variations, so little time! lol!

I used the masking technique to get the candle to through the banner (even though I used a framelit on top). The candle stamp was made longer with this technique.
