Dancin' With Walt
Halfway done on my 2009 scrapbook! In July, we got to see Haley's dance recital in Cleveland, OH. She has really excelled in her performances since she started (when she was little). Dawn (Haley's Mom) and my best friend was in one performance of her own. It was great to see them both dance.
Thanks for looking!
I wanted the background to look like a sequin costume, so I added rhinestones to the paper.

Chess Board Birthday
Moving along on my 2009 scrapbook. While visiting my family in Ohio in June, we got to celebrate my nephew's 10th birthday. My sister created a chess board cake complete with chess pieces on top!
I struggled a bit with the placement of the squares (for the chessboard background). I finally realized that once I have the square in place, that I should 'lock' that object, so that it didn't move while creating the rest of the squares.
Thanks for looking!

St Louis
Moving along on my 2009 scrapbook!
While Mike and I were in St. Louis, Missouri we saw the Gateway Arch and went on a riverboat cruise. It's funny, the things you remember about a certain trip (even 2 years ago!)..... I remember tripping on the sidewalk prior to going up in the Arch. I didn't hurt anything....just being clumsy.
With the background paper, it consists of two different papers/colors. I was unhappy with the color choices I had.....so I made my own! I believe with this technique..... the paper possibilities are endless!
Thanks for looking!

Wedding Reception
I started designing our 2009 scrapbook today. No, that is not a typo... I know it's 2012! Yes, I know I'm way behind in my scrapbooking, but now that I have My Digital Studio..... I can scrapbook anywhere. (I am traveling more with my hubby, so I am not able to scrapbook like I used to). My goal for 2012 is to get up-to-date in my scrapbooking. I have a lot of work to do.
We went to Los Angeles to attend a family friend's wedding. I'm amazed with all the pictures that we took, we did not get any of the bride and groom together. Oh well! We had a fun time with Mike's side of the family.
Here is the list of supplies I used on my page:
Paper - Basic Black (textured)
Photo mats - Wild Wasabi (w/Wild Wasabi in the shadow effect too)
Text - Elegance (Rich Razzleberry, Wonder Wisteria)
Embellishments - Basic Rhinestones

Tri-fold Pear - SCCSC101
I created this for my Aunt for just general correspondence. We shared the same skin aliment that lasted for 2 months - Yikes! Glad that it is finally gone. (Pun - We are a pear!)
I had the Stampin' Connection's Sketch Challenge - SCCSC101 on the right in my mind as I created this card. A wonderfully heartfelt Thank-you goes out to Diane Vanders who showed me how to create this half-cut technique with the framelits. I believe that the pear stamp (Faith in Nature) works extremely well with the Labels Collection Framelits. Simply yet elegant!
